Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As part of Walmart's International Payments & Financial Services Team, we strive to engage with our international markets to keep the cost of accepting payments as low as possible while also offering our customers world class financial service products. We support Walmart's international markets by using our understanding of the global payments system to ensure best in class agreements, products, and platforms. We then partner with the markets in developing their financial services strategy to delight our customers and drive sales.

The Director, Treasury (International Payments) is a dynamic leadership opportunity that involves designing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize Walmart's global cost of payment acceptance. This role is pivotal in coordinating cross-functional teams at our home office and on-the-ground in various international markets.

You will make an impact by...

  • Take the lead in formulating and implementing strategies aimed at minimizing Walmart's cost of payments acceptance in our Asian & African markets.

  • Render strategic support to our Asian and African markets by designing best-in-class financial services that cater to our customers' needs and fuel sales growth.

  • Understand and capitalize on local market nuances to deliver tailored payments & financial services strategies.

  • Establish a strong partnership with our technology teams to conceive and construct products and solutions that generate global leverage and reduce expenses.

  • Ensure the seamless integration of these solutions into our existing financial infrastructure.

  • Play a proactive role in the broader payments and financial services team to pioneer forward-thinking strategies in the realm of payments and financial services.

  • Stay abreast of industry shifts and incorporate these insights into strategic development and execution.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • Strong technical background in payments, with a deep understanding of the mechanics around payments.

  • Familiarity with emerging payment technologies and industry trends in the Asian & African markets.

  • Proficient in using a data-driven, analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Experience working with international markets to drive strategy and execution.

  • Knowledge & understanding in retail operations.

  • Experience in managing large-scale payment projects and initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders and build partnerships.

  • Ability to speak foreign language.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field and 5 years' experience in financial services, retail analytics, retail finance, or relevant area OR 7 years' experience in financial services, retail analytics, retail finance, or related area.

1 year's experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.

2 years' supervisory experience.
