About the team
The Space team is responsible for optimizing our store layouts to ensure that each item is given the appropriate amount of space and is positioned in the most ideal location for our customers. Our goal is to revolutionize Walmart's decision-making process, from determining macro category placements to even the minutest details, such as the positioning of an item on a shelf down to a tenth of an inch. This approach allows for continuous adjustments to store item locations, aligning them with the preferences of our local customers and facilitating agility and speed to market. Through the utilization of AI optimization, our team aims to create visual guides that will provide precise instructions for store associates, ultimately improving Walmart's efficiency in placing items in the most optimal locations within our stores.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Walmart's merchant systems and tools, ensuring alignment with the company's efficiency goals and operations
Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and design to launch and optimization, for merchant technology platforms
Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, operations, and merchant teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency of bringing items to store shelves
Develop a deep understanding of Walmart's merchant challenges, identifying opportunities for technological advancements to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous innovation within merchant systems
Engage with key stakeholders including executive leadership, operations teams, and external partners to ensure successful implementation and adoption of merchant products

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
