The Department of Agriculture is seeking an individual to join our team as a Veterinary Medical Field Officers at the Philadelphia Park Racetrack (Parx) in Bucks County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The position involves offering expert veterinary services in regulatory medicine for thoroughbred and/or standardbred racetracks, overseeing the Bleeder Medication Program and test barn operations. You will also be responsible for implementing Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services initiatives and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in the designated PDA region to monitor and manage animal diseases.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This is a vendor controlled position, meaning work schedules are subject to change based on the racing schedule. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of farm animal and/or poultry practice experience as a USDA accredited veterinarian.

Special Requirement: Possession of a license to practice veterinary medicine as issued by a state board of veterinary medical examiners.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waivedfor this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Post Employment Requirement: A Commission Employee License is required for this position or will be obtained once hired. How to Apply:
