Job Description

A telecom company is looking for a Director of Data Governance and Operations to join their growing team. This organization is currently going through a multi-year digital transformation effort and are working to centralize their data foundation and governance strategy.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a data governance strategy and management framework. You will help define who owns the data, understand how they use it, and help promote more efficient and effective business decisions. You will also help establish data privacy guidelines and ensure compliancy. Initially, you will not have direct reports, but eventually will be responsible for the oversight of a small team. This organization is very bought in to their digital transformation efforts and understand the crucial role data governance plays, and is seeking the same understanding in this individual.

This role is slated as a 6 month contract to hire. The converting salary for the role is between $138,000-150,000. PTO, insurance benefits, a 401K program, and more are offered upon conversion. Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience working within data governance principles and methodologies including data quality, data integration, metadata management, data privacy, and data security

Experience defining a data governance and data foundation for an organization

Experience with data management tools: Tableau, SQL, Postgres, and Snowflake

1+ year of management experience

Local to CO or NE (role is remote) Experience in the telecom industry

Experience working in the finance industry, or experience with financial data modeling null
