Job Description Summary

The role will be responsible for leading the Power and Energy Resources Software (PERS) software engineering teams globally. The individual will lead engineering delivery, collaborating with PERS leadership team to establish priorities and align resources. The incumbent will be responsible for creating and implementing the strategy for innovation, leadership development and overall talent capability development. This position will report directly to the Senior VP- Engineering and will work closely with the PERS leadership team.

This position will report directly to the Senior VP- Engineering and will work closely with the PERS leadership team.

Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the teams within the PERS engineering organization comprising a global workforce of over 215

• Partner with global and local engineering and business leaders to build a world class software development team and consistently deliver complex software solutions and platforms.

• Drive both the tactical and the strategic actions, establishing effective operating rhythms with daily management across Key Performance Indicator (KPI) levers.

• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership between Engineering and Product Management. Work with Product Management team and customers as needed to prioritize key delivery activities to enable ESW to win in the market.

• Develop comprehensive and tactical solutions to address immediate needs of the team and the business.

• Lead global engineering talent development initiatives. Enable team optimization and stabilization with a focus to build next gen technical capabilities.

• Work closely with CTO Office and Product Management team to drive process and product innovation and create unique differentiated products. Identify and develop a patenting strategy for the organization.

• Drive software development best practices by facilitating and coaching engineering teams on requirements estimation, work sizing, agile development processes, QA Automation, CI/CD processes.

• Drive a continuous learning culture, actively pursue new methods and practices to increase productivity.

• Actively champion diversity and build a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Degree Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in engineering, computer science, business, or related discipline

• Minimum Years of Experience: 15

• Global or cross-country leadership with responsibility to deliver results

• Demonstrated ownership and accountability

• Location: Bangalore, India

• Strong demonstrated oral presentation and written communication skills
