Morgan Stanley Vice President - Operations Transformation (Operations) in Bengaluru, India

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President to work as part of the wider business analysis project team with a focus on back & middle office business change, risk and regulatory initiatives.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is a Vice President position within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Experience in Financial Services industry: Investment Management, Investment Banking and/or Operations knowledge a plus

• Expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications

• Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

• Strong experience with Design Thinking & Ideation

• Skilled in automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI and UI Path

• Agile expertise and mindset with a strong working knowledge of Agile as a method for program delivery

• Knowledge of performing operational efficiency assessments and solution design

• Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures

• Innovation mindset and interest in strategic developments across the banking operations industry

• Experience in matrix/virtual management & engagement with a desire to operate and influence at a cross-platform & F2B level

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions

• Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution

• Assessing productivity & process related data to identify innovation and/or automation opportunities

• Supporting users in developing automation solutions to deliver process improvements and eliminate manual processes

• Accountable over defined portfolio of Strategic Transformation Initiatives; within specific platforms and/or cross platform where specified for shared strategic opportunities (Automation, Data, Strategy) including execution of assigned strategic book of work

• Strong collaborator with Key relationships; Technology Partners, Transformation partners, business and within Global Operations

• Enhance performance measurements and indicators for overall health of programs & transformation landscape

• Partner with Change the Bank, Technology, and other stakeholders' divisions to deliver on key aspects of supported projects

• Provide leadership across the operations organization to further mature agile ways of working; all aspects of agile life cycle from epic/feature definition, squad performance and facilitating ceremonies
