Google Venture Capital Business Development Manager, Google Cloud in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience with partner/channel pipeline development and management, and with Go-to-Market strategies and Transformation Delivery.

  • 10 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or partnerships.

  • 10 years of experience in a startup/VC related position.

  • 6 years of experience with public cloud solutions across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) markets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to network within the early-stage VC community and tech ecosystem.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing demands of the business.

  • Ability to create compelling Return on Investment (ROI) value propositions.

  • Excellent influencing skills, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive other stakeholders without reporting authority.

  • Excellent business development skills, with the ability to manage multiple evolving projects.

As The Venture Capital Business Development Manager, you will engage with the Venture Capital and startup ecosystem to supercharge hyper scaling (high-potential) startups in the region. In collaboration with Google teams focused on startups across Alphabet, you will foster Google Cloud Platform usage among Venture Capital portfolio companies through engagement, aimed interventions with the Venture Capital funds, and close business partnership with Cloud’s Startup and Sales Teams.

  • Be the trusted, expert advisor and thought leader to Venture Capital general partners.

  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver events, content and offers to Venture Capitals and startups.

  • Leverage Google Cloud and Google products and services.

  • Engage the assigned portfolio of Venture Capital firms to drive pipeline and business growth opportunities for Google Cloud in partnership with the Startup Success and Sales teams.

  • Lead regular reviews with Venture Capitals on their respective portfolios.
