Job Description

  • Evaluate the tax/ social security laws and processes in various countries for employer reporting and compliance activities.

  • Perform research analysis of the International Treaties & Totalization Agreements.

  • Preparation of shadow payroll calculations and comply with other employer reporting requirement as per the respective domestic tax laws of foreign country.

  • Research on country-specific tax laws and requirements to prepare shadow payroll/ returns inhouse.

  • Filing of foreign country tax returns (e.g., UK, US, Canada, Australia) of the expats.

  • Develop knowledge of the tax and regulatory rules governing key aspects of Global Mobility and stay updated with the developments/ amendments in these areas.

  • Keep the track of annual tax compliance for authorized assignees to ensure that all the authorized annual tax returns get filed by the tax vendors within the agreed timelines.

  • Prepare tax cost estimates for global assignments/ deals.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders for compliance and advisory with respect to the Expats.

Criteria Senior Tax Analyst / Assistant Manager – Expat Tax Compliance

Educational Qualification: Bachelors/ Master’s degree in accounting or finance

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the tax/ social security laws and processes in various countries for employer reporting and compliance activities.

  • Perform research analysis of the International Treaties & Totalization Agreements.

  • Preparation of shadow payroll calculations and comply with other employer reporting requirement as per the respective domestic tax laws of foreign country.

  • Research on country-specific tax laws and requirements to prepare shadow payroll/ returns inhouse.

  • Filing of foreign country tax returns (e.g., UK, US, Canada, Australia) of the expats.

Skills required:

  • Strong global mobility tax technical skills with understanding of global income and payroll tax regulations.

  • Knowledge and technical skills in either UK, Canada, US, Australia or any other country’s tax compliance.

  • Proficiency in MS-Office.

  • Detail oriented, analytical and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong ability to communicate well with remote international teams, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
