Google Technical Program Manager, Software Custom Silicon Programs in Bengaluru, India

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in silicon and systems architecture. Experience in consumer electronics and phone development shipping products.
Relevant technical experience in embedded Systems, SoC development, Android and hands-on product development.
Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
High-tech industry experience with a track record of hands-on product development, program management, project management, professional services or engineering management.
Experience and knowledge of Android, Android OS or embedded systems in Mobile.
Experience working in the Consumer Electronics industry specifically involving executing technical programs with external partnerships.
Excellent knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.
Strong team player mentality and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Software Technical Program Manager, you’ll help keep an innovative and rapidly growing engineering team productive. You will work closely with engineers of many specialties, product managers, and internal and external partners around the world to define, design, build, test, and ship products.
Excellent communication skills and plenty of good humor and patience will enable you to be a hub for the myriad of information needed by the team. You’ll be responsible for helping identify program and technical risks and helping come up with mitigation plans, working in close collaboration with product managers and engineers to make good product level judgments to ensure both product excellence and timeliness.

Work jointly with engineering teams to develop and manage software to support custom silicon projects.
Help engineering teams communicate project status to internal stakeholders across Google.
Work closely with partners on product development schedules, dependencies, and budgets.
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Interface between partners and product engineering teams, setting and managing schedules and milestones.
