Google Technical Program Manager, Search Serving Infrastructure, Search Platforms in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience as a technical program manager working on cross-functional programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience managing data-driven communication with stakeholders by email, written documents, and slides.

  • Ability to learn and pick up new concepts.

  • Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Search Compliance Infrastructure builds infrastructure for search developers in partnership with policy and legal decision makers that enable compliant and trustworthy search experiences.

  • Understand project requirements, drive scope discussions, create project plans, and drive the delivery of programs by partnering with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, and Engineering managers.

  • Hold team members accountable and ensure timely delivery, and exercise technical and product judgment to resolve project issues.

  • Identify assumptions, dependencies, issues, and risks by driving discussions across the team and developing a mitigation plan.

  • Provide insights, plans, and processes to execute cross-functional projects at scale.
