Sr Staff Engineer - Digital Design
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and self-driven digital designer to lead all digital design activities.
Lead a team of digital, DFT, PD, and verification engineers and manage them to plan and deliver multiple concurrent projects.
Work closely with the RF/analog design leads and marketing/applications teams to understand and create specification documents. Propose resource allocation and timeline for delivery.
Propose digital architecture and develop RTL code starting from scratch.
Guide junior designers and other digital engineers and help them resolve issues.
Bug tracking to ensure a robust solution.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech. + 8 years or M.S./MTech. + 5 years of digital design experience.
Proven track record in taking a digital design from concept (spec derivation) to completion (GDS).
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the RF/A design leads to create spec documents.
Leadership qualities to work independently and lead the digital design team to work in a cohesive fashion.
Working knowledge of physical design, ECO, DFT, and UVM verification.
Decision-making and project-management capabilities to lead and guide DFT, verification, and physical design engineers and brainstorm them to deliver robust design in a timely fashion.
Deep understanding of the entire digital design flow including RTL design, synthesis, constraint development, formal verification, DFT, static timing analysis, and verification.
Excellent grasp and hands-on experience in digital design concepts including register definitions, state machines, clock-domain crossovers, timing constraints, etc.
Good understanding of communication standards like SPI, I2C, and I3C.
Good understanding of memory blocks like SRAMs, Efuse, and EEPROM, and how to integrate them with the digital design.
Excellent communication skills and effective teamwork. Good documentation skills are a must.
Ability to understand existing RTL code, and to develop RTL design from scratch.
Highly motivated and self-driven leader.
Motivation to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of digital DFT is great plus.
Experience with Cadence design tools for synthesis, timing analysis, DFT, and verification is a great plus.
Knowledge of UVM methodology for SystemVerilog-based verification.
Knowledge of Analog-Mixed Signal simulations on Cadence Virtuoso suite.
Knowledge of SRAM BIST and Error Correction Code (ECC) is desired.
