Nielsen is seeking an organized, detail oriented, team player, to join the Engineering team in the role of Software Engineer. Nielsen’s Audience Measurement Engineering platforms support the measurement of television viewing in more than 30 countries around the world. Ideal candidates will have exceptional skills in programming, testing, debugging and problem solving as well as effective communication and writing skills.

Required skills

  • 2+ with Microsoft Visual C++ and .NET/C#Development experience GoLangC++ experience on Windows platformSQL Programming (Microsoft SQL Server)Experience in writing unit/integration tests including test automation.Strong testing and debugging abilities, functional, analytical and technical abilities, ability to find bugs, attention to detail, troubleshootingResourceful, self-starter, and a team-playerBachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalentDesire to be deeply involved in product supplementation and automationAppreciation for and commitment to clean, reusable and well-tested code, architecture, and documentationExperience working in an Agile environment (scrum, kanban)Solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment environmentsStrong analytical skills and sense of technical creativityExcellent debugging and problem solving skillsDetail oriented with a commitment to innovationEffective communication and writing skills are a mustAbility to communicate in English (conduct written and spoken daily conversations with English speakers from 30+ countries around the world)
