Oracle Software Development Snr Manager- OCI in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

As the Senior Manager of Software Development at OCI Observability org, your main responsibility will be to build,own and lead a crucial component used for running multiple OCI services. The team's goal is to enhance and improve data collection tools and platform's roadmap to support growing business needs. You will work closely with our most senior technical leaders to define, design, and develop solutions to complex problems.

These are exciting times for our organization as we are building new capabilities and architectures to become the default platform running all OCI services. This team will also deliver critical improvements for customers that can enable new customer adoption and aggressive business growth. We are looking for a manager who has deep technical knowledge and Kubernetes experience and can lead the charge for core features and performance optimization deliverables.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver successful products and services.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation within the organization.

  • Enhance cloud services and establish operational excellence.

  • Set the technical direction for the team.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop the best talent.

  • Establish and stimulate software development standards, processes, and best practices for the team.

  • Define new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.

  • Set goals and expectations for performance and work with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of management experience in enterprise software.

  • 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on high scale distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of management experience.

  • Prior development experience within Cloud Infrastructure or low-level systems engineering.

  • Proficient in programming in one of Go, Java, Python
