Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development

OCI is building a state-of-the-art elastic cloud with data centers in regions around the world. For OCI, networking is one of the critical and foundational pieces. Being empowered with the flexibility, reliability, and scalability of Virtual Networking, Cloud Applications and Cloud Platform enables Oracle’s Enterprise customers to run their mission critical workload seamlessly on OCI. Within OCI, the Virtual Networking team is responsible for delivering innovative networks with high performance characteristics that exceed those of our competitors.As a member of the Network Load Balancer Data plane(DP) team, you will take an active role in the design, implementation, and operation of highly available, massive scale, coordinated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.

Required/Preferred Qualifications: .

  • Proficiency with C/C++.

  • Scripting proficiency, in a language such as Python, Perl or Bash.

  • Hands-on experience developing multi-threaded embedded Linux application/infrastructure.

  • Firmware development skills and experience with embedded systems.

  • Knowledge of at least one of Intel/AMD/ARM computer architectures.

  • Hardware and/or System bring-up experience, Networking Knowledge

  • Experience with Linux Kernel/Driver programming.

  • Proficient with Linux.

  • Experience in CI/CD environments.

  • Comfortable working with remote/lab equipment.

Required Education and Work Experience:

  • BSEE, BSCS, BSCE, or equivalent. MSEE, MSCS, or MSCE is a plus

  • 3 to 5 years of Software Engineering experience working on challenging issues with a self-starter and self-motivated attitude.

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed

  • Ability to work with minimal direction.

  • Ability to prioritize, self-manage, self-study, and coordinate effectively.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
