Job Description

We are looking for bright and talented engineers from top tier institutes to apply their ingenuity to test Oracle’s flagship product.

We develop software to ensure product quality of the flagship Oracle database and related products. We build tools to catch Bugs in code before anyone else does.

This is a small and focused engineering team of elite engineers with development background.

Current focus areas of the group are software for:

• Code Coverage

• Memory Tool ASAN, Valgrind etc

• compiler technologies , GCC, Clang

• System programming

• compiler Instrumentation

The position requires knowledge of Different programming languages such C/C++, java, python etc. Memory testing Technologies such as ASAN, valgrind, compilers and intrumentation technologies , numerous areas of System programming , Operating system, Memory management , Compiler optimisations , GDB, process runtime, and Oracle development and testing environment. We are looking for creative mind to design and develop intelligent software that can expose critical bugs in Oracle database code.

In addition to that Excellent knowledge of C, java and Python Programming is also required . Understanding Build System CI/CD pipelines , project management framework such Maven , ANT etc is Desirable.

You will work alongside high-caliber software engineers, coming from top institutions in India. We leverage each other’s insights and abilities to produce cutting edge solutions. • Work on next generation Code coverage related tools and extend to various cloud services offered by oracle cloud

• Design and Develop framework to simplify code coverage integration with CI/CD pipelines.

• Deep dive into Database Kernel, Memory management , process architecture , Build system

• Work closely with multiple Development and Testing team to create tools/infrastructure needed for ensuring hight quality software

The group:

'Database test & tools development' group (part of the database server group of Server Technologies Division) works on the upcoming releases of Oracle database server, Database cloud services & Engineered systems enveloping a wide range of technologies.

The group with its state of the art development infrastructure and practices, helps shape technology that has been important for a large number of Fortune 2000 and other companies. The group foresees product usage scenarios, simulates real life problems, tests the forthcoming releases of Oracle products and services to ensure that customers receive them with the highest quality.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
