Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience in system development for features like low power modes, QoS, Voltage/Clock scaling, debug/triage, validation and deployment into consumer electronics/embedded systems.

• Experience with embedded programming in C/C++.

• Experience with embedded systems, kernel, Unix/Linux environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in development of Linux device drivers or low-level firmware code.

• Experience with ARM or other low-power SoC architectures.

• Experience with interface protocols (e.g., USB, SPI, I2C, UART, UFS, PCIe), software stacks, drivers, and System Memory Drivers.

• Knowledge of embedded systems development, RTOS concepts, device drivers, and hardware/software integration.

The Silicon Software team develops software for a variety of custom silicon being developed for both internal and external customers including IP for many diverse applications. You will be a member of the team developing performance and low power hardware and software to enable Google’s innovations in mobile image, idea, and AI processing. In this role you will develop the software platform support, firmware, and drivers for the Google Tensor mobile SoC.

• Work to enable system features for SOC devices.

• Develop and debug/triage, enable continuous integration checks and validation of embedded software drivers, or firmware for the SOCs.

• Manage silicon validation software to be used in the pre-silicon, and post-silicon validation.
