As a Senior Software Engineer/Full Stack developer within PCS Service Technology Team, you are responsible for programming a component, feature and or feature set of next generation remote service technology platform. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates and justify the estimate with facts

• Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding

• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation

• Seek and provide feedback on design and development

• Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module

• Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules

• Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Be fluent in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them in Java and Python

• Work with Product Manager (PM/TPMs) and architects to understand product requirements & vision

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing web applications as a full stack developer.

• Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting web applications with REST based microservices using Java and Python

• Hands-on experience working with ReactJS, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and version control tools like GitHub/Gitlab

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or equivalent.

• Develop and maintain serverless architectures using AWS services such as API Gateway and CloudWatch.

• Containerization & Orchestration with Kubernetes / Docker for Microservices development on Linux Environment, deployment and packaging using Python

• Extensive experience in Design patterns and solutioning with focus on application performance and availability

• Experience of leading technical discussions, propose design solutions, technically mentoring team members, manage external stakeholders and bringing innovation at work.

• Well-rounded software development skills and experience - Agile development methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, unit testing, code reviews, and operations.

• Web UI Technologies - HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS protocols and Responsive Web DesignExcellent communication skills and the ability to interface with Architects and technical leadership with confidence and clarity.
