About Oracle Management Cloud Gen2

Oracle Management Cloud Gen2 is a suite of next-generation integrated monitoring, management, and analytics cloud services that leverages machine learning and big data techniques against the full breadth of your operational data. The solutions provides a unified platform that helps you to improve IT stability, prevent application outages, increase DevOps agility and hardens security across your entire application and infrastructure portfolio. OMC Gen2 is developed using Oracle Could Infrastructure (OCI) core services.

About the Role

This position is located at Bengaluru, India. We are seeking a hands-on development engineer with a passion for highly scalable distributed systems. Candidates will be responsible for:

• Design and implementation of Database Management Cloud Service for MySQL

• Coming up with innovative for design & implementation while satisfying 99.999% availability

• Working with an evolving product roadmap with a broad set of use cases to go after

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate should be a self-motivated engineer who can deal with complex problems without supervision. S/he loves to learn new cutting edge technologies. S/he’d to have solid software development experiences to help implement Cloud Service.

Qualifications for this position are:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a top tier college

• 3-5 years of software development experiences, especially in highly scalable, available and fault tolerant distributed systems

• Hands on experience with Java, Data Structures/Algorithms, Spring, RESTful web services, micro service architecture, JUnit, build & devops tools

• Effective communication skills (written and spoken) and strong problem resolution skills

• Ability to work in a fast paced Agile development and rapid deployment in the Cloud/SaaS environment

• Strong inclination towards test driven development

• Effective in working with remote teams spread across time zones (USA, India, Mexico)

Desirable qualifications for this position are:

• Knowledge of Maven, Chef, MySQL, Oracle DB, Jmockit, Identity management, GIT, Grafana, YAML

• OCI certification is a plus

• Experiences in scripting languages is a plus

• Experiences with cloud platforms (e.g. OCI, AWS, Google Cloud), cloud technologies/deployments

• Experience in continuous delivery, deployment and monitoring of cloud based services

• Experience working in the observability space would be a plus
