Oracle Product Manager/Strategy 4-ProdDev in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged and talented individual to be a pivotal member of a brand-new product team based in Bengaluru. You will be enhancing the most widely used construction collaboration software enabling the streamlined delivery of construction and infrastructure projects around the world. This role is focused on the Oracle Construction and Engineering Aconex suite of products with a strong focus on being a thought leader on the APIs.

THE ROLE

The Product Manager is responsible for defining & communicating the planning activities for the Product Development team engaging with the Director of Product Management, stakeholders across the business and customers, to ensure successful product delivery according to quarterly objectives as necessary. They work with other Product Managers, the User Experience team and Development to help ensure success of each product and maximize overall return for stakeholders, whilst driving holistic outcomes for the Aconex and ultimately, the CEGIU business.

As an overview, this will include:

  • Being the primary business contact for the development team.

  • Being a thought leader in the Aconex API space, creating strategy with strong onboarding and adoption focus.

  • Own and build the API product roadmap based on market and stakeholder feedback.

  • Working directly with customers to understand needs, answer queries and get feedback.

  • Strong thinking, planning and tactical execution and the ability to manage and drive priorities across departments.

  • Help execute the product roadmap based on market and stakeholder feedback by being aware of scrum practices, for example: Backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and, retrospectives.

  • Gather and analyze metrics to ensure the product is successful.

Knowledge and Experience Essential

  • Strong knowledge of API structure and standards.

  • Previous experience working with APIs for B2B Enterprise applications.

  • Ability to distil customer data and present insights as clear and useful business information.

  • Familiarity with Agile approaches, design, engineering and testing methodologies.

  • Ability to proactively engage in continuous process improvement.

  • Structured problem solving and facilitation approaches.

  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business and customers.

  • Clarity of verbal and written communication to unambiguously define goals and plans.

  • Ability to create User Stories for development teams.

  • Previous experience as a Product Manager.

  • Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives and stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Industry experience in the construction, facilities and/or resources industries.

  • Working with globally distributed teams.

  • API development.

  • Knowledge of Aconex, our Aconex users and problems they face.

  • Work with the other product & UX portfolios to integrate their products into the roadmap.

  • Advocate for platform initiatives to be integrated to other portfolios roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with user experience and interaction designers and engineering to transform ideas into functional software.

  • Monitor progress during sprints. Resolve with stakeholder input any ambiguities and conflicts with other existing or new functionality.

  • Work with remote and cross-functional teams and customers.

  • Work with the team and stakeholders to understand team capacity and realistic workloads.

  • Ensure customer-facing departments understand the changes we make to our products.

  • Contribute and review user documentation.

  • Be a subject matter expert in our products and platform.
