SUMMARY:
As a Lead Information Systems Engineer, you will spearhead infrastructure design initiatives within an enterprise IT organization, delivering solutions aligned with business objectives. This role demands comprehensive oversight of full-stack services, including cloud, design, network, operating system, operational integrations, and virtualization platforms, to support product development teams effectively.
You will lead integrated project activities, encompassing feasibility studies, scope definition, timeline management, and task allocation. Your responsibilities will involve designing and executing infrastructure solutions, driving provisioning, orchestration, and ensuring seamless technical engagements for cloud and on-premise implementations. With deep expertise in Cloud and On-prem technologies, you will guide the success of complex projects and foster robust infrastructure service delivery.
Responsibilities
Strategic Design & Implementation: Architect scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms and services, adhering to industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and translate them into strategic technical solutions.
Infrastructure Automation: Develop and oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and automation scripts using Terraform, Ansible AWX, AWS CloudFormation, ensuring consistent and efficient cloud resource management.
Cloud & On-prem Integration: Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, employing automation to streamline processes. Drive continuous innovation to enhance the scalability and performance of production infrastructure.
Policy & Compliance Oversight: Enforce company and industry standards in system administration. Oversee the implementation of security tools and system endpoint security policies to ensure compliance and data protection.
Project Leadership: Manage the lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects, including network integrations, data center builds, and hardware refreshes. Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure project success.
Performance Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance, diagnose issues, and implement optimizations. Lead efforts to improve system reliability and efficiency across the organization.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Leadership in Technical Delivery: Minimum 10+ years of experience in delivering technical projects with at least 4+ years in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure preferred).
Agile Methodologies: Experience in leading projects using Agile Development Practices, fostering collaboration, and iterative delivery.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams, provide mentorship, and cultivate a collaborative team environment.
Security & Automation Expertise: Proven experience in configuring security tools, implementing endpoint security policies, and scripting automation (preferably in Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including network, data center, hardware, and software. Expertise in troubleshooting complex issues in Windows and Linux environments.
Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging infrastructure technologies and best practices, driving innovation and strategic growth within the organization.
This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can lead from the front, delivering strategic infrastructure solutions while mentoring teams to achieve organizational goals.
