Job Description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions. As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

EBSQA is the central QA organization for Oracle Applications EBS Product Line. EBSQA is a dynamic organization that is committed to setting outstanding standards in Quality Assurance. At EBSQA, team members frequently work in multiple product areas within and across product domains. Innovation, initiative, thinking out of the box and expanding horizons is a regular activity. The EBSQA team is primarily responsible for ensuring quality of E-business suite applications through new and sustaining EBS releases.

EBS Teams are also involved in the development and maintenance of new products and feature offerings for Fusion Applications including Fusion Service Logistics, Fusion Channel and Revenue Management, Fusion Lease Projects, Fusion OSN etc.

Detailed Job Description –

  1. Responsible for development, execution and stabilization of Automated Test Assets using OATS, Selenium and Webservices for Fusion Products being developed and tested by EBS teams.

  2. Responsible for Devops activities related to development and testing of fusion offerings that are being handled by EBS teams.

  3. Responsible for the Quality Assurance of one or more products in EBS Products Line. You will be working in identified key products in EBS using test automation.

  4. Leverage cutting edge technologies like OATS, Selenium, docker and continuous integration tools for developing the test automation framework to support EBS and Fusion automation.

  5. Conceptualize and develop robust automation frameworks based on the given requirements. You will need to write libraries using the specific programming language used in test tool. You may also be working on improvement projects to enhance existing frameworks.

  6. Your primary role will be to develop, optimize and stabilize test cases and run tests across the product areas and projects that you will be working on using test automation .

  7. You will be frequently called upon to conceptualize and drive new innovations in automated testing. You will be a key driver for continuous improvement initiatives.

  8. You will be exposed to and participate in various facets of product development following agile and waterfall methodologies.

  9. You will be responsible for testing your products and assigned projects through new and sustaining releases. You will also be supporting the vast EBS customer base through regular bug fix verification and certification of minor enhancements using automation.

  10. You will be responsible for following established QA processes and maintaining relevant test metrics. You will be expected to participate in regular defect analysis, code reviews and appropriate methods for continuous research and improvements.

  11. While your primary customers will be the internal development and QA organization, you may also directly or indirectly service the other key stakeholders in the eco-system including the Oracle Support, Oracle Consulting, Pre-sales and partner network, as part of specific out-reach initiatives.

  12. You will be required to author white-papers in your specialization areas and create appropriate collaterals, as required.

  13. You will be working on the Oracle Flow Builder and building test assets for your product areas. Also you may be working on developing enhancements in OFB using ADF.

  14. You may also be expected to work on back-end testing methods including API and web services testing.

Expected Qualifications -

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned test automation professional with deep testing and test automation skills having atleast 6 to 12+ years of industry experience. Candidates with seasoned Devops skills and orientation will be preferred. This includes understanding and exposure to CI Tools like Hudson, Jenkins etc, build and provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible etc, management and monitoring tools like Jira, Kubernetes etc.

The candidate should have typically worked on one or more test automation tools like QTP Selenium, Oracle Application Testing Suite etc. The candidate should have conceptualized and architected innovative automation frameworks, toolings and automation approaches to address complex testing requirements for large testing projects.

The candidate should have sound programming skills. Candidates are expected to have very good knowledge of programming languages like PL/SQL, Java etc.

Experience in cloud testing, mobile app testing is an advantage. Candidate should have good understanding of SDLC. Candidate should have sound understanding of QA Systems, processes. A background in ERP is a good plus.
