Fees and Commission Operations is seeking a professional who is looking for an opportunity to apply their financial and risk management skills and contribute to process improvement projects.
From locations around the globe we support our global Securities and Futures business by ensuring that our client and firm’s clearing, exchange and regulatory fees are accurately managed. The accurate management of these fees is critical to the profitability of our organization.
In order to ensure the validation, allocation and business support responsibilities for this process are handled in a professional manner we employ a suite of skills including but not limited to: technical skills – business analytic and system automation abilities; interpersonal skills – explaining complex items in a simple manner; and risk management – data analysis to control risks impacting client and firm P&L.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enhance and improve our processes and functions by developing a deeper understanding of the function and becoming a technical expert
Collaborate with our technology and business partners as well as external contacts to improve strategic process workflows
Provide timely client or business query support
Help build out the team, ensuring that we use best practice in what we do at all times
Use your inquisitive mindset to identify control weaknesses and recommend robust solutions
Your role would include:
Understanding of scope of vendors, charge type, region and product types
Ensuring the business understands how our clearing and exchange fee details are calculated and recorded across our business lines
Learn about the products we clear and trade to understand how our function impacts the business’s client base
Resolve client queries being a part of client facing team
Interaction with sales desk across the globe for day to day break resolution as part of trade reconciliations
Contribute to business initiatives and project management across sponsors and stakeholders with competing priorities, resourcing levels and time constraints
Effective email management on a daily basis
Freshers or 1 - 2 years’ experience in banking, accounting, financial services or related fields
Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and demonstrates accountability, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills along with the ability to use discretion and good judgment
Excellent Client Service skills with ability to communicate complex issues to individuals with varying levels of product expertise
Competency with MS Suite, especially Excel and the ability to learn multiple programs quickly as needed
Proactive, enthusiastic approach with very high attention to detail
Highly collaborative, flexible, and team-focused with ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
