OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Strategize & define data measures, thresholds, rules, and controls and will be responsible to plan, create and maintain appropriate business rules documentation

  • Create and maintain data quality documentation, including data quality rules, data quality scorecards, and data validation procedures. Ensure that data quality standards and processes are well-documented and communicated

  • Identify Data Quality issues as they occur, along with any risks, mitigation plan and proactive vulnerabilities within the database

  • Expert in Enterprise Data quality capabilities with proven experience implementing data quality tools such as Informatica Cloud (Cloud Data Quality (CDQ)) etc as a product owner.

  • Conduct data profiling and in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and potential data quality issues. Utilize data quality tools and techniques to ensure data compliance with established standards

  • Establish monitoring processes and alerts to proactively identify data quality issues. Continuously monitor data quality metrics and take corrective actions as needed

  • Maintain and improve data quality standards and have high competencies in developing and executing advanced DQ techniques that aim to improve the quality of data across multiple domains.

  • Provide training to data owners, stewards, and data users on data quality best practices, data entry standards, and data quality tools

  • Responsible for designing, developing, documenting and executing data quality management related test cases against data sets with data on premise as well as data in a cloud-hosted environment (Informatica Cloud Data Quality) and allows the organization to better leverage the data quality programs and to ensure a continuously improving cycle for the generation of master data

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop the vision for an ever-evolving Data Quality improvement strategy that not only satisfies current needs but can be easily adapted to future needs as new sources of data input and requirements for data output are identified

  • Responsible for designing, testing, deploying, and documenting data quality procedures and their outputs

  • Partner with data stewards to provide summary results of data quality analysis, which will be used to make decisions regarding how to measure business rules and quality of the data

  • Document at a functional level how the procedures work within the data quality applications

  • Proven experience developing DQ operating model, DQ policies & guidelines as well as DQ standards & best practices

  • Direct the development of key standards, guidance, and policies as a leader of at least one data quality team, along with an extended collection of business data stewards

  • Use in-dept knowledge and expertise with data quality and master data management standards together with and clear view on enterprise leadership and program management to advice on multiple levels of complexity in data management

  • Develop KPI’s and SLA’s confirming that the Takeda Data Quality and Data Services model is available, communicated, understood and utilized effectively in pursuit of business objectives and strategic vision

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout the organization. This includes project based work for business units

  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner

  • May serve as functional support in technical implementation of agreed upon solutions

  • Support the data stewards and stakeholders (Product, Owners, etc.) to define data quality measures and monitoring the Data Quality Strategy

  • Work with Data Counsels to adopt usage of the Data Quality Scorecards to understand the health of the process and impact of data quality exceptions' issues

  • Work with the Data Governance Office to analyze and understand results of data profiling implemented via Data Quality Rules, Policies, and Procedures

  • Enforce and demonstrate strong understanding of data standards and policies

  • Support resolution for data integration and reconciliation issues

  • Collaborate with Data Governance Office team members to support global data management governance, and initiatives

  • Support multiple domain data

  • Responsible for ongoing data cleansing activities as required by the business

  • Participate in process improvement teams which assist in improving the data used by the company to make important decisions

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field (or equivalent and related experience preferred)

  • Minimum 7 years of data quality experience as product manager with a focus on Informatica Data Quality.

  • Understanding of SQL an Python skills and experience with data integration tools

  • Strong knowledge of Data Quality improvement tools such as Informatica CDQ

  • Extensive experience with and success in managing projects from inception to production rollout and support

  • Hands-on experience working with low-latency real-time application requirements

  • Outstanding communication skills that foster professional relationships among internal and external team members as well as efficient work processes

  • Ability to successfully manage international teams and promote cooperation among team members

  • Experience managing delivery resources located in multiple client and external facilities and regions during the course of delivering solutions

  • Expertise in setting Data Services / Solutions strategies and vision

  • Experienced technology expert, strategic change leader and problem-solver.
