ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in requirements, design and functional specification reviews at varying levels within the system

• Analyze, design and develop software or software components

• Manage a team to deliver products by proper task allocation, scope and timelines.

• Ability to conduct technical reviews and provide reasonable estimates.

• Practice software development methodology in an agile environment

• Validate existing equations in new versions against previous versions and existing test data.

• Develop new geometry and heat transfer calculations for new product designs.

• Involve in reviewing C#/.net code to check for errors in calculations.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

• Working closely with the internal and external design/development teams in identifying problems

• Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers and other engineers

• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

QUALIFICATION

• A Master’s/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of experience in the Heat transfer domain

• 2 years of related software engineering experience

• Knowledge of programming in VB.NET, C#.NET, T-SQL would be an added qualification

• Solid work experience with SDL, software change management, continuous integration and automated build processes

• Heat transfer with specific focus on heat exchangers (dual stream, shell & tube, etc.).

• Programming experience is ideal especially with .net languages.

• Experience in Finite Element analysis calculations

• Apply calculation methods as described in the literature

• Hands on experience testing/debugging software and providing solutions

• Experience in below mention languages and Frameworks.

• VB.Net

• C#.Net

• MS SQLServer

• JavaScript and any framework.

• Network programming

• HTML 4 & 5

• CSS

• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely

• Self-driven, quick learner, results-oriented and a clear focus on high quality

• Must be a good team player

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with aluminum bar and plate heat exchangers is a plus.

• Proficient with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum

• Experience in below mention languages and Frameworks.

• ASP

• MVC framework

• Knowledge on Railroad or Transportation domain
