The successful candidate will lead all financial activities at the site while also ensuring that all are performed in a safe, compliant, efficient and effective manner:

  • AOP and Monthly Latest Estimates

  • Financial Reporting, Control and Compliance/SarBox

  • Capital Review Governance

  • Exploitation of Site Business Systems and Services

  • Ensure site leadership team has a solid understanding of key financials to support efficient budget control departmentally.

Accountability

  • Interact directly with site & BU finance team for reporting to above site groups

  • Responsible for review of balance sheets accounts

  • Support Financial Audits & Sarbanes Oxley audits.

  • To actively support the culture of continuous improvement, working towards standardization and improved performance

  • To operate according to agreed processes and in compliance with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and procedures

Decision Making Responsibility

  • Able to work under limited supervision and complete assignments with limited instruction

  • Provide insight and be true business partner to GM at site

  • Participate in and deliver process improvement and other projects within and outside of Finance group as appropriate.

  • Delivery of agreed objectives for area of responsibility, building positive relationships to influence and implement change

Quality Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with our Quality Management System requirements

  • Participate fully in our site’s quality initiatives and ensure that all relevant quality standards are adhered to

  • Read and understand relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Global Quality applicable to role

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
