Primary Purpose
The Art & Music Computer Lab Attendant I will open and close the Art & Music Computer lab and monitor students using the lab. Attendant will assist students with the use of the equipment and troubleshoot any computer software issues.
Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include: Opening and closing Art & Music computer lab. Observing Music students, Art students or Graphic Design/Illustration students using the lab. Student worker will facilitate students’ work on assignments and troubleshoot any computer software issues.
May be asked to assist in other art labs or in the music library or storage rooms.

Familiarity or willingness to learn the software needed for the specialty music courses and/or the Graphic Design and Illustration courses (Adobe Creative Suite).
Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to manage conflicts within and/or between groups and to work in a team environment.
Ability to be accurate and detail oriented.
Ability to remain flexible and do different tasks on a daily basis.
Ability to provide consistent and dependable customer service.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds and other aspects of human diversity.
Ability to use or to learn to use proprietary software programs for art and music, as well as Microsoft Office Suite & email.
Confidentiality regarding student/faculty/staff information a must.
Ergonomic Requirements
A flexible work schedule may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. Opportunities for nights and weekends may exist. Regular FAC office hours are between 8 am – 5 pm during weekdays. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. May need to use a ladder. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2023-24
Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in digital art courses
Knowledge of digital art software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of art materials
Previous experience with digital music software
