Central Oregon Pediatric Associates (COPA) of Bend, Oregon, the largest pediatric practice in the region, is hiring a full time Behavioral Health Clinician Associate (BHCA). At COPA, the Behavioral Health Clinician Associate plays an integral role serving patients at our friendly and welcoming medical clinic for children of all ages. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician Registered Associate (BHCA) functions as an integrated member of the Patient-Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) team. Under the supervision of a Oregon State Board approved BHC Supervisor, the BHCA assists physicians, advanced practice providers and other medical staff in managing the overall health of their enrolled populations. The BHCA helps improve recognition, treatment and management of psychosocial/behavioral problems and psychosocial aspects of medical conditions. The role of the Behavioral Health Clinician Associate will include but is not limited to the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Behavioral Health Clinician Registered Associates (BHCA) will be required to meet all requirements of the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers or Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and approved Plan of Supervision, including but not limited to: Provide the supervisor with a periodic evaluation of all cases and counseling or therapy activities. Submit hours in the state Licensee Portal in a timely manner until the experience requirement is met. Complete and submit the signed Registered Associate Six-Month Supervisor Evaluation & Hours Report, in compliance with state board requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Certification: Required: Master\'s Degree in related field. Required: Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Associate (LPCA) in the state of Oregon. Required: Current unrestricted Oregon licensure in good standing as required for education. Ability to become credentialed with insurers (meets all attestation requirements). Maintain AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification. Experience: Preferred: Experience with pediatric medical populations and post licensure experience. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse population; superior clinical process skills; strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to make independent clinical judgments and prioritize workload; knowledge of community services; ability to multi-task and work independently. Epic EMR experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus. Within the scope of their certification, the Behavioral Health Clinician Registered Associates (BHCA) maintains an in-depth knowledge of principles, practices, standards, and techniques and demonstrates knowledge in accordance with COPA policies and procedures within pertinent laws and regulations.
