Primary Purpose

The ASL Interpreter, Level 1 is responsible to provide ASL /English interpreting.

  • Possess the professional skills and knowledge required for the specific interpreting situation.

  • Adhere to standards of confidential communication.

  • Conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreting situation.

  • Maintain ethical business practices.

    Ergonomic Requirements

Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.

All individuals are required to be able to perform essential functions without a significant risk of injury or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions listed above.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree.

  • Fluency in American Sign Language

  • Obtain and maintain applicable state licensure requirements

All employees are required to successfully complete and pass a background screen, which includes a criminal history check.
