Who you are: You are a good listener and are able to follow instructions. You are sensitive to the feelings of others, are compassionate and enjoy helping others. You are dependable and trustworthy. You communicate well. A day in the life: As Teacher Aide you ll work with the classroom teachers to develop the learning environment, assisting in classroom activities. You ll help set up classroom materials; keep the classroom clean and safe; read to children; organize and supervise play activities and soothe children who are upset. You will follow the lead of the classroom staff to reinforce appropriate behaviors using positive guidance. You ll assist in family-style meals and snacks. Wages: You ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community. Full time, 40 hours per week, full year. Starting $13.48/hr., with benefits. Position is retention bonus eligible. Typical schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday; and 7:00am-11:00am on Friday.
