Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform preventive maintenance (PMs), repairs, and troubleshooting on all food production plant equipment. This includes case packers, processing machines, blenders, grinders, scales, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes. You will work in two different maintenance departments: Canning and Packaging. You will handle machinery such as casers, packaging machines, sifters, dumpers, and boilers. This role requires mostly mechanical experience and a willingness to get hands dirty while troubleshooting. Additional tasks include testing voltages, wiring motors, using a multimeter, performing minor welding/fabrication, and basic facilities maintenance (plumbing, fixing lighting, changing light bulbs). Minimal electrical responsibilities are involved and are not a requirement.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

This position offers 2nd and 3rd shift options. 2nd shift runs from 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday. 3rd shift runs from 9 or 10pm to 5 or 6am, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $33.72 an hour, inclusive of a premium. Overtime is available, with shifts possibly extending to 8-12 hours per day, and work may be required every other weekend. The facility is very large, with work environments ranging from freezers to hot, damp areas. Required attire includes steel-toed boots, hearing and eye protection, hair and beard nets, and a hard hat with a uniform provided.
