Description

The General Education IT/Networking Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in IT and networking to students, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the field. The teacher will create a dynamic learning environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum in IT and networking that meets educational standards and prepares students for industry certifications and careers.

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in IT and networking to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and current.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to support the overall educational goals of the district.

  • Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and career planning, including advising on further education and job opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with all district policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records of student attendance and performance.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold the required license: #1220 (Technology Education).

  • Strong knowledge of IT and networking concepts, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
