Les Directeurs du service d’entretien et de réparation travaillent en étroite collaboration avec le directeur de succursale et sont responsables des aspects suivants :

  • La coordination et la supervision de la prestation d’un rendement de qualité par les techniciens à l’entretien et à la réparation, les conducteurs et les préposés au service

  • Générer des revenus liés à l’entretien et à la réparation

  • Planifier et effectuer des réparations rapides de l’équipement de location et de l’équipement des clients

  • Créer des horaires de travail et conserver des registres adéquats de la productivité des techniciens à l’entretien et à la réparation

  • Formation et perfectionnement des employés

  • S’assurer de l’excellence en matière de sécurité de l’environnement de travail dans le cadre des fonctions de ce poste stimulant et gratifiant ouvre la voie à la promotion à un poste de directeur de succursale.

Comme le service à la clientèle exceptionnel est toujours le pilier de United Rentals, votre volonté et votre aptitude à fournir un tel service à chaque client font de vous un candidat hors pair. Pour être admissible à ce poste, le candidat idéal doit posséder un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de l’entretien et de la réparation, ainsi qu’un minimum de 3 ans d’expérience dans un poste de supervision. Nous exigeons également que le candidat possède des connaissances de base sur la gestion d’entreprise, de solides compétences en matière de motivation et de leadership, la capacité de mener plusieurs tâches de front à la fois et des aptitudes informatiques de base, notamment avec Microsoft Excel. Un permis de conduire valide assorti d’un dossier de conduite acceptable est requis.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes

  • Staff location adequately based on skills and workload

  • Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget

  • Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics

  • Oversee parts department activities, to ensure optimal customer service, technician/shops/OEC productivity and cost control

  • Evaluate performance and promotability of team members. Identify and provide necessary skills training and regular coaching

  • Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; trade-School Degree a plus; bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • Extensive Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership experience

  • 5 years’ service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

  • Strong motivational and leadership skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L

  • Basic computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel

As a Service Manager at United Rentals, you’ll be the leader of a major maintenance enterprise within the Power/HVAC Division. You’ll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates. You will maintain and repair a variety of specialty rental equipment and support assets assigned to the Power/HVAC fleet to ensure safe operation and readiness for rental. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Supervise the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including but not limited to the following:

Silent Diesel Generators 20kw to 1.5MW

Air–Cooled Chillers 10 to 400 Tons

Rental Industry Air-Conditioners 5 to 40 Tons

Desiccant Dehumidifiers and Negative Air Machines

Electrical Distribution

Load Banks

  • Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes

  • Supervise Service Technicians, ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed at all times

  • Build strong customer relationships through the delivery of high quality and timely customer service

  • Apply United Rental policies to maximize productivity while maintaining a safe work environment in a clean, organized facility

  • Manage the shop operating expenses

  • Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics

  • Meet on regular basis with Branch Managers, reporting any problems and discussing possible solutions

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3-5 years of operations and shop management experience with background in repairing and maintaining the equipment stated above

  • Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems

  • Advanced knowledge of heavy equipment, the manufacturers’ warranty process, and the work order / time spent accounting process

  • Experience on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems that allows for independent assessment and diagnosis in most situations

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • Strong motivational and leadership skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L

  • Basic computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel

As a Service Manager at United Rentals, you’ll be the leader of a major maintenance enterprise at a Trench Safety branch. You’ll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Equipment Associates and Welders. You’ll ensure proper storage and maintenance of company equipment, and uphold a high standard of customer service in the yard at the branch. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.

Additional duties include the following:

  • Safely manage daily shop activities to maintain order accuracy, equipment quality and readiness

  • Coordinate shop and yard activities among Equipment Associates and Welders to promote business efficiency; When required, provide instruction to Drivers

  • Manage mechanical services for delivery trucks, sales trucks, forklifts and other mechanical tool

  • Order parts for maintenance of rental fleet

  • Manage the hiring, training, evaluation, and performance of Equipment Associates, and Welders, and in some branches, Drivers

  • Maintain records for Drivers’, Equipment Associates’, and Welders’ job training, for DOT compliance, and for accident investigations

  • Conduct employee safety training and coordinate certification training for use of forklifts and boom lifts

  • Ensure a safe working environment

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years related experience

  • Welding school certification for Arc, MIG, and TIG

  • Knowledge of proper hydraulic and pneumatic testing procedures

  • Working knowledge of trench safety related products and applications; advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

  • Strong leadership, teamwork and customer service skills

  • IVES certification for boom trucks and forklifts preferred

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
