ERM West, Inc. Staff Technical Editor/Writer (Entry Level) - R00009029 in Bellingham, Washington

ERM is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-level Technical Editor/Writer to provide the entire range of publications support in ERMs Bellingham, WA office. The ideal candidate is an organized professional able to apply self-initiative, a positive team attitude, technical aptitude, and creativity in helping our Partners and Project Managers produce high-quality client deliverables and proposals. The successful candidate will be confident, service-oriented, and able to relate well with diverse groups of technical professionals. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES: *Create and/or edit content, including documents in MS 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat. *Perform editorial review and formatting of technical documents (text, spreadsheets, and slideshows) in accordance with ERM and client-specific style guidelines. *Work closely with project teams to support quality assurance/quality control review and production of technical deliverables, business proposals, and other marketing materials. *Manage multiple deadline-driven assignments. *Complete work assignments in accordance with ERM's management system, format, and quality standards, and on schedule. REQUIREMENTS: *B.A. in English, Communications, or Journalism. *Strong technical editing skills including excellent writing and grammar; ability to edit for accuracy, brevity, clarity, and consistency in accordance with ERM/client style guide standards. *Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat. *Acute attention to detail with a strong work ethic. *Capacity to work both as part of a team and as a self-starter. *Dependable, flexible, and organized. *Aptitude to manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. PREFERRED: *Relevant experience involving document review and development; experience in a professional services firm preferred. *Environmental, health, and safety experience. *Experience with web development.
