Robert Half Accounts Receivable Accountant in Bellflower, California

Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Accountant to become an integral part of our team in the education sector. The job is based in Bellflower, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and will involve working within a dynamic environment, managing various accounting functions as well as using several software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all deposit-related activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain the integrity of student accounts, including managing tuition assistance applications and accounts receivable.

• Ensure the integrity of financial reporting requirements through regular reviews and reconciliations.

• Manage and maintain all aspects related to student accounts such as parent communications, payment plans, various fees, tuition assistance, and collections.

• Perform regular follow-ups on past due accounts to ensure receivables are current.

• Act as the primary contact for the tuition assistance program, maintaining the integrity of the database, answering questions, and issuing awards.

• Prepare, record, and verify the accuracy of all deposits flowing through the Business Office in line with established processes and policies.

• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reconciliations.

• Assist in completing month-end close and perform accounts reconciliations as assigned.

• Demonstrate proficiency in using various accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Epic Software, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Perform other duties related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, Cash Activity, and Check Processing as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CRM systems

• Knowledge of Epic Software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions efficiently

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Proficiency in Billing Functions

• Capability to manage Cash Activity

• Experience in Check Processing

• Ability to communicate effectively in English

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
