Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Manage cross-functional infrastructure programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas including large scale distributed systems, network reliability, efficiency, and capacity planning.

  2. Plan technical software and system hardware product requirements with internal teams and develop the project execution plan.

  3. Oversee technical solutions and software development lifecycle end-to-end, project plans and ensure on-time delivery.

  4. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  5. Write code and develop software tools, applications, and/or systems to support the company's large-scale infrastructure, systems and operations.

  6. Apply expertise in information technology and software engineering during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases of technical projects.

  7. Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks assigned.

  8. Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions.

  9. Interface with the Engineering Team and external business owners for project requirements and scope.

  10. Influence and drive product decisions to align with high company initiatives.

  11. Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.

  12. Communicate regular updates with project sponsors, stakeholders and project teams and perform risk management and change management on projects.

  13. Gather business requirements from key stakeholders and convert them to technical requirements, managing prioritization with the engineering teams.

  14. Work closely with Meta’s product, and engineering teams to define team needs, metrics, and key performance indicators.

  15. Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of the team.

  16. Complete root cause analysis of different workflows in order to quantify problems, goals, and identify priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Networked Systems, Information Systems, or related field.

  2. Position requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

    1. Product management or product design focusing on large scale distributed systems reliability, efficiency, and planning for network reliability
    1. Technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications or media products
    1. Designing simple and intuitive user interfaces
    1. Developing social products, technologies, or platforms
    1. Working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team and influencing technical outcomes
    1. Delivering technical presentations and using multiple communication mediums to distribute information tailored to an audience
    1. Analyzing complex, large-scale data sets and making decisions based on data
    1. Gathering requirements across diverse areas and users, defining scope and converting and developing them into a product solution
    1. Identify risks to project deliverables and support the team in development of mitigation plans

Public Compensation:

$202,325/year to $226,600/year + bonus + equity + benefits
