Amazon Senior UX Designer, Boost MyDay in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Are you a Senior UX Designer, passionate about new technologies, driving change through data, and using customer obsessed design processes to create products and services.

We are building a new experience for all work in AWS Data Centers that will replace disparate experiences that exist today. Data Center Automation team is looking for a thoughtful and passionate UX designer who is able to build intuitive experiences for discovering work, optimizing work, skills management and shift planning.

MyDay improves Data Center productivity by recommending them the right work for the right technician at the right time in the right location. This recommendations will be AI powered by information about technician skills, location, shift, handling different types of parts, complexity of work etc.

Key job responsibilities

Collaborate and work closely with other designers, research, product management, and engineering from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines and driving cross-team collaboration and sharing.

Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged and design acumen is demonstrated through design end-to-end product ownership.

Simplify complex ideas and create intuitive experiences, using research and data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.

Engage with different audiences and varying levels of the organization to drive solutions forward.

Earn trust with key partners to develop a shared vision through excellent storytelling, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.

About the team

The Boost MyDay team is specifically responsible for building the systems that orchestrate the technician experience for all types of work in AWS data center worldwide. True to our name, we literally help plan the day for the data center technician. Our talented team of data center technicians depend on our systems to perform their work safely, securely, efficiently, and free of defects, resulting in the backbone of products, the compute infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

  • Experience in running SUS and CSAT surveys.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
