Bloodworks Senior Systems Analyst in Bellevue, Washington
Help save lives every day! Bloodworks has an exciting opening for a Senior Systems Analyst. In this position you will perform technical and/or project lead activities on all phases of large, complex system implementation projects; coordinate with users and technical staff to develop, monitor and report upon project work plans and schedules. You will also serve as consultant to users and technical staff in system analysis and design. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES *Plan and direct all phases of large projects or system implementations, including business problem and requirements definition, alternatives analysis, package selection and/or development, conversion, and installation. *Perform independent design, analysis and programming to meet defined user needs and Information Technology requirements, as directed. *Develop and maintain clear, accurate project and technical documentation (design specifications, program or system documentation, flow charts, testing documentation, etc.). *Learn and apply new technical concepts and methods as needed. *Serve as system design consultant to users and technical staff members. *Support the development and upgrade of software applications. *Adhere to Information Technology (IT) and Blood Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the development, testing, review, implementation and maintenance of software systems. *Comply with all applicable SOPs as written. *Employ good organizational skills. *Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: *College or technical degree, with course work in computer concepts and programming languages, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. *Seven or more years of experience as an applications programmer and analyst with commercial applications on an interactive database computer. *Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems in use at Bloodworks. Required operating .NET & SQL programming languages with Java as bonus. Other languages may be required depending upon specific projects or application areas assigned. *Experience in a project lead role on implementation of large application projects. *Must have good writing skills, and must be able to communicate effectively with others in face-to-face interactive situations.
