Amazon Senior Program Manager, Recommerce Zero Waste Strategy, Returns, ReCommerce & Sustainability in Bellevue, Washington

WWR&R includes business, product, program, operational, data, and software engineering teams, who together manage the lifecycle of returned and damaged products.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will create and implement our US Waste Reduction strategy. In this strategy role, you will be responsible for analyzing system rules, data, technical processes and programs to create a short and long term waste reduction roadmap. You will work closely with product and program managers, finance, legal, tech and data teams to drive our US Waste Reduction strategy and execution. You will establish mechanisms and KPIs to measure progress to waste reduction goals.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create a 2025+ strategic roadmap that will influence technical investment, program strategy and operational planning to reduce inventory waste

  • Analyze business rules, technical processes and design and output metrics to determine opportunities for waste reduction and Recommerce

  • Partner with BI and tech teams to develop data and tools to synthesize information

  • Drive execution of strategic levers

  • Partner with BI to build reporting to track progress on waste reduction metrics and efficacy

  • Produce new insights and conceptualize new innovations to drive down waste

Analyze data sets and system rules to determine program prioritization

Create a multi-year strategy and execution plan

Financially model out opportunity sets and tradeoffs

Influence product, program and tech teams to support strategic roadmap

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
