Robert Half Senior Accounting Manager in Bellevue, Washington

Description

We are on the hunt for a Senior Accounting Manager based in Bellevue, Washington, 98005, United States. The chosen candidate will be a key player in our team, contributing significantly to our financial operations. You will be tasked with managing key areas of our month-end close process, preparing monthly financial statements, enhancing existing accounting procedures, and developing strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reporting, reconciliations, and related supporting schedules for subsidiaries and corporate entities

• Manage key areas of the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing variance analysis, and financial reporting

• Enhance existing accounting procedures and internal controls, and drive process improvements for operational efficiency and effectiveness

• Manage intercompany transfers and maintain balance sheet integrity and accuracy

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regularly interacting with business owners and management on accounting matters

• Support general accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions

• Develop, document, and process cost allocations among different legal entities and projects

• Set up and implement a cost accounting system for operations, perform indirect cost allocation, consolidation, and reporting

• Handle fixed asset and inventory processing and reporting

• Assist with budget planning and analysis, and provide financial and profitability analysis as requested

• Support financial projects such as year-end close, audit, tax package, and budgets, and assist with the annual financial audit with independent auditors

• Assist in the transition from cash basis to US GAAP accounting, support contract review for accounting/tax implications, and prepare project cost analysis to measure and monitor project financial performance.

• Perform accounting analysis and prepare memos for accounting treatment of project construction costs.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 + discretionary incentive bonus.

Requirements • Must have proven expertise in preparing financial statements.

• Experience in financial reporting is critical.

• Proficiency in performing reconciliations is necessary.

• Knowledge of intercompany eliminations is required.

• Must be able to provide supporting schedules.

• Experience with month-end close procedures is necessary.

• Must be able to review journal entries.

• Proficiency in variance analysis is crucial.

• Experience with continuous process improvement and general process improvement is required.

• Excellent relationship management skills are essential.

• Must have a solid understanding of general accounting principles.

• Knowledge of cost allocation and cost accounting is necessary.

• Proficiency in managing fixed assets.

• Expertise in inventory accounting is required.

• Must be able to conduct financial and profitability analysis.

• Experience with audit activities is critical.

• Proficiency in budgeting is necessary.

• Must be able to manage balance sheets.

• Proficiency in GAAP accounting is necessary.

• Experience with project cost management is required.
