Job Overview This position is responsible for assuring the launch of T-Mobile quality devices and services by implementing compliance to the T-Mobile Quality Policy and Quality Management System standards for purchased and repaired products. You will operate as the team's subject matter expert in quality and will be accountable for device quality performance and customer experience over a wide product portfolio. The devices include mobile devices, tablets, mobile broadband devices and accessories. This position requires a highly technical expert in electronic devices. The person shall have a good working level knowledge of electronic manufacturing and repair capabilities. They need to be able to drive best in class techniques as well as have an eye for detecting design and operational weaknesses that can potentially translate into quality defects and poor customer experiences. The ability to understand printed circuit board technology and component interactions is highly recommended. You will be responsible for verifying compliance to internal and external product requirements. This will require you to work closely with Test and Validation teams to verify compliance to these requirements. You will need to define risk mitigation plans when issues arise. You will also use field performance data and lessons learned to drive the creation of new product requirements to ensure continuous product improvements that enhance customer experience. From time to time you will be required to measure and calculate the cost of quality if deviations are required by the business and communicate the results to leadership. You will be expected to lead and coordinate task forces that drive timely issue resolution (defect identification, root cause investigation, implementation of solutions and monitoring of product performance). You will monitor conducting ISO and QMS Supplier Quality Audits both internationally and domestically to validate their ability to provide quality products. From these audits you will be expected to communicate the results both verbally and in writing cross functionally to business partners. You will be required to travel for one to two weeks at a time with short notice. You will be traveling at some times solo so a good sense of travel safety and experience is recommended. You will be responsible for conducting Quality Process Analyses such as Critical to Quality Reviews, Design for Serviceability Reviews, Quality Reviews, First Article Inspections, lifecycle device Early Warning Program and managing associated Corrective and Preventative Actions. Conduct device tear down reviews for new devices to determine risk, improvement opportunities, business impacts and summary reviews with recommendations. This position will be a key interface between Suppliers, Distribution Centers, third party logistics providers and the Field Service Center. This position must be able affect a behavior change with both the suppliers and internal stakeholders to increase the quality of the products and ensure a positive customer experience. Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of Supplier Quality Management are required. You will be expected to drive continuous improvement and strategic initiatives on behalf of Supply Chain Quality in order to drive down cost to the business and increase process efficiencies. You will be expected to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
