Amazon Principal Technical Program Manager, End User Computing in Bellevue, Washington

We are developing new services that cross several divisions of Amazon, and looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to look around corners to make sure we do not miss solving key customer needs or dependencies. As Principal TPM for AWS, End-User Computing you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects that involve multiple teams end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams across multiple divisions of Amazon to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, and drive the desired outcomes to cross-functional teams consisting of engineers, product managers, and designers. This highly visible role will be in regular communication with senior leaders within and across organizations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
