Veralto Mechanical Engineer II (Onsite - Bellevue, WA) in Bellevue, Washington

Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Jobs that provide engineering technical support in this field should be assigned to this job family.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

· Interact with other internal functions such as Project Management, Product Management, Science, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Compliance and Service.

· Create mechanical designs, detail drawings, and lead design reviews

· Meet manufacturability, compliance, and product robustness requirements through documentation, test, or analysis

· Build prototypes for validation including test plan creation & execution

· Put together build documentation for new products and train sustaining engineering.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (MSME preferred) 4+ yrs. experience (2+ yrs. for MSME) in electro-mechanical product design

  • High proficiency with 3D parametric CAD software & vault data management (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Experience in prototyping, testing, and evaluating mechanical designs including the ability to work with the operations team and suppliers to optimize for manufacturability

  • Able to design for and select against multiple manufacturing methods, including precision machining, sheet metal design, die-casting, and injection molding

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • SolidWorks Vault Data Management & Finite Element Analysis using Simulation

  • Additive Manufacturing processes

  • Estimating design work and managing project results
