We are seeking a customer-centric Business Intelligence Manager to lead the establishment of a reliable and accessible reporting platform, ensuring Operations Finance customers have complete trust in the data, technology, and tools to make data-driven business decisions.

As a BI Manager in Worldwide SnA, you will be responsible for managing the BIE team that is responsible in building data pipelines and dashboards for Customer Fullfilment, Inbound and Outbound Transportation business. You should have excellent business and communication skills to collaborate with business owners, Product teams, and Tech leaders to gather infrastructure requirements, design data infrastructure, build reporting wireframes and integrate with Gen BI tools to meet business needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and play a thought leadership role within the organization. Manage and coach the team on data, technical and business issues facing them. Hire, drive innovation and continuously improve performance of the team members.

  • Lead the functional and technical design of BI solutions for the team, including user interfaces, data architecture and data processing. While on-boarding new functionalities, responsible for ensuring that solutions fulfill business needs in an efficient and scalable manner.

  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve analytics architecture and tools for immediate customers in the Finance organization. Develop and support milestones across projects to ensure timely and successful deliverables.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional data engineering and operations finance teams to standardize existing processes, improve front-end reporting, and create mechanisms to scale this system with accommodate rapidly changing business needs.

  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions to interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions.

  • Partner with Product Managers across various organizations to develop technology vision for the organization.

  • Influence the strategic direction of large products as they pertain to Business Intelligence and help define the team's BI strategy and make technical trade-offs when required.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience

  • 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with ETL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience

  • 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
