Description

We are seeking a Billing Specialist for a client of ours in the legal industry in Bellevue, Washington. This role is an integral part of their financial operations, focusing on the efficient and accurate processing of billing transactions. You will be primarily responsible for data entry, bill preparation, and expense entry, all while ensuring compliance with legal billing standards. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and record billing transactions in accordance with established procedures

• Manage and maintain up-to-date billing records, ensuring that all entries are accurate and comprehensive

• Collaborate closely with attorneys to gather and pool pre-bill information

• Review and correct billing details in SurePoint after attorney's review

• Ensure timely and accurate expense entry

• Maintain a high level of organization to ensure efficiency in all billing operations

• Use Microsoft Excel and Office Suites for various billing functions

• Address and resolve billing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders

• Monitor and follow up on outstanding bills, ensuring timely collection.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Experience in Legal Billing

• Experience with SurePoint software desired

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High degree of accuracy and understanding of billing processes

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies

• Knowledge of industry-specific software and applications is a plus.
