BYTEDANCE INC. Data Science Manager-E-Commerce Product Analytics (Multiple Positions) in Bellevue, Washington

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage a team of Data Scientists in building machine learning models to optimize marketing campaign return on investment (ROI), conducting product analysis, and performing a/b testing experimentation design and analysis of our consumer application product experience.

``` - Own large-scale quantitative analysis projects from start to finish, including developing metrics, creating analytical frameworks, and distilling complex results into clear and concise insights to facilitate intricate decision-making.

``` - Audit quality of launch experiment results and guarantee correct measurement of product or technical changes' impact.

``` - Keep track of core metrics and attribute metrics changes to root causes.

``` - Drive the strategic planning and execution of long-term business plans through in-depth business analysis, industry studies, and the study of market trends.

``` - Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams through communication of data supported insights to make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.

``` - Understand problem space, product, and related business processes and build a vision on how to improve such processes.

``` - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence leadership to continuously make impact, drive monetization strategy, and business evolvement.

``` - Visualize and synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines for the team to provide indicated actions for executive audiences.

``` - Grow, guide, and inspire a strong Data Science team, with a high-impact and ambitious data roadmap.  

 

Qualifications

 

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience, out of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

 

 

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in leveraging advanced data gathering, processing, and analysis techniques to develop and deliver data-driven recommendations to support and influence business decisions.

 

 

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Researching and developing analyses, forecasting, and optimization methods to improve product quality using SQL, time series, and causal inference experiments;

``` - Designing and analyzing A/B testing and providing business and supporting product launch decisions based on data;  

Mining, preparing, cleansing, and analyzing structured data using statistical computing languages SQL, Python, and R for metrics creation, root cause analysis, and model preprocessing;
