Position Summary
The Assistant Director of International Admissions (ADIA) reports to the Director of International Education (IE) and currently supervises three full-time International Admissions Specialists. The ADIA is responsible for increasing efficiency without compromising accuracy to admit qualified international applicants with a high level of customer service. Working closely with the Pre-Arrival and International Advising teams, the ADIA plays a key role in converting new admits to enrolled status by navigating new students to placement testing, initial advisement, class enrollment, payment, and orientation to ensure yield every quarter.
The ADIA's four primary areas of responsibilities are: 1) managing all aspects of international admission operations, 2) ensuring compliance with the F-1 and J-1 visa regulations relatives to admissions, 3) tracking international student data, and 4) co-leading the anticipated departmental database migration project with a third-party vendor and BC ITS team and handling ongoing technical issues with the database.
The ADIA serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) and carries a caseload to work directly with applicants and agents. The position serves applicants without appointments in need of a change of status or reinstatement consultation. The ADIA works on-campus at least four days and one day remotely until further notice. This may change based on the business needs of the department. The position may work occasional evenings, weekends, and may travel domestically or internationally as directed by the director of IE or the director of International Recruitment.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $70,037/year - $98,052/year

The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hires start no higher than $77,041/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.
