Setting up, operating, and/or maintaining of machines that saw, cut, shear, split, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal materials. Ensuring the efficient operation for production levels.
Tasks, Skills & Other Qualifications:
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as material to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances
- Effective communication, active listening, and taking instructions
- Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of following blueprints and manuals
- Good mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs
- Good time management
- Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
