Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to work on machines that create drive shafts for powertrain components. The role involves working with various types of machinery, including balancers, friction welders, snap ring presses, straighteners, CNC lathes, electromagnetic welders, and CNC rolling machines. The candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with 3-phase, 480V electrical systems

• Perform industrial troubleshooting to maintain machinery

• Handle electrical issues in a unionized facility

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics

• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on CNC machines, wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Troubleshoot and repair Allen-Bradley PLCs

Essential Skills

• 8+ years of experience with 3-phase motors, 480V

• 8+ years of experience with electrical installs and repairs in a manufacturing/industrial environment

• 8+ years of experience with blueprint/schematics reading

• High school diploma or GED

• Must own their own tools (no specialty tools needed)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Card

• Experience with CNC Benders

• Allen-Bradley PLC Troubleshooting

Our Client offers extensive training with over 50 days of instruction. As a union facility, the starting rate is competitive, with opportunities for pay increases based on tenure and performance.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing/production setting where the technician will work on machines throughout the day. Training will take place on the 1st shift for 45-55 days, followed by a transition to the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Belleville, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65936.00 - $65936.00
