Description
Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
• Support the implementation of accounting software and systems.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
