Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description
Our client is a full-service metalwork machining and fabricating shop, equipped with both CNC and conventional machines. They provide high-quality output that meets their clients' specifications and adhere to their schedules and cost projections. Their state-of-the-art facility includes a paint booth and walk-in oven, allowing them to provide baked enamel and epoxy finishes. They support various industries, including military contracts and state contracts. Currently, they are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join their team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets their standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
Apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using brushes and HVLP spray equipment.
Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as an industrial painter or similar role.
Knowledge of various painting techniques and tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with industrial painting, spray gun, powder coat painting, and HVLP spray gun.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with paint prep, sanding, and metal painting.
Familiarity with PPE such as masks, goggles, etc.

Work Environment
Shop environment that is not climate-controlled (heaters for winter and fans for summer). PPE is required, including steel toes, safety glasses, and paint masks. The environment can be loud as it is a machining shop, but the floor is well-organized and easy to navigate. Shifts available are 1st Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:00pm) and 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday (3:00pm - 11:00pm), with occasional optional overtime on Saturdays from 6:00am - 9:00am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $30.00/hr.
